color girl

I really love all those colors on this painting.
I used aquarel paint for the background and acrylic paint for the girl.
I created the circles with a stencil and I used a few stamps.

Art Journal

This is a whimsy girl in my Art Journal. I used a painting of Tamara Laporte as an example.

my next girl

Again I worked with aquarel paint for the background and acrylic paint for the girl. Bubble plastic for the dots.
She is imperfect, but I think she is fantastic!

another imperfect girl

Practice, practice and practice!!
I love these imperfect girls.
I find it very difficult to get the right colors for the face.

Art Journal

For the left page I used a workshop of Trees de Vrieze from my facebookgroup Petra's World of Art Dutch
and for the right page I worked after an example of Tamara Laporte http://www.willowing.org/, she really is my favorite mixed media artist. I used acrylic paint and gelatos.

gypsy girl

Background = watercolors
girl = acrylic paint
I was inspired by a painting from Tamara Laporte of a gypsy girl.
I worked a little bit transparant so you can see the background trough the painting.

Challenge flower/butterfly/and the color rose

For a challenge from Hobbyshop Sandra
I created this canvasboard.
I used stencils with instant filler. Than I sprayed dylusion ink over it.
I painted the flower on a different paper and glued it on the canvas. At last I glued the two butterflies on the canvasboard.

mixed media on canvas

My first mixed media canvas.
I sprayed the canvas with neon yellow and rose paint and than sprayed dylusions ink.
I used  instant filler on stencils and painted the chipboard and the keys with copper of Creall.
I glued everything on the canvas and finished it with the flowers and the butterfly.

It has been a long time .....

It has been a long time since I started this blog.
So many things have happened in the past 2½ years.
I have learned a lot during that time and I now want to show you my paintings and mixed media and AJ (art journal).
I am still learning everyday. I love this creative travel!

This is my first 'imperfect girl'.
I learned to paint her and the background during an online workshop on a facebookgroup.

First sprayed  the background with ink and paint. I drawed the girl. Used a posca pen for the text and the circles and a stencil for the dots.
